Love is...
In today’s world, love has been misinterpreted to mean several things. This is what love truly is according to 1 Corinthians 13 vs 4-8:
• Love is Patience and serenity: Love never gives up. Love is untroubled and peaceful.
• Love is Kindness and Thoughtfulness: Love is caring for others more than for self
• Love is not Jealousy or envy: Love does not want what it does not have
• Love does not brag: Love does not strut and does not boast
• Love is not pride or arrogance: Love does not have a swollen head
• Love is not rudeness: Love does not force itself on others and does not dishonor others
• Love is not self-seeking: Love is not always me first and does not seek its own advantage
• Love is not provoked or overly sensitive: Love does not fly off the handle. Love is not easily angered and is not irritable
• Love does not consider a wrongdoing: Love does not keep score of the sins of others and does not keep a record of complaint
• Love does not rejoice at injustice: Love does not revel when others grovel. Love does not delight in evil
• Love rejoices with the truth: Love takes pleasure in the flowering of the truth
• Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things: Love is trusting God always, looking for the best, never looking back but continually going to the end, always persevering
• Love never fails: Love never dies
